Why detoxing is so important?

Detox minimizes the toxins in our body, and it allows our body and mind to be free from negativity. Our body has its system to detox through sweat, urine, etc. But sometimes our body needs some relaxation to happen this process naturally. Due to lifestyle changes, toxins get collected in the body which not only creates health issues but also makes our body emotionally negative.  

Detoxing helps the body to keep energized, helps in weight loss and maintenance, boosts the immune system, keeps our skin healthier and many more. 

Detoxing has its importance in fitness and healthy living. There are various types of detox diets and drinks we can make which can boost this process. Here, I am sharing 4 easy detox morning drinks that have multiple benefits.

1. Warm water, lemon, and honey (can add ginger)

My favorite one. Just take a glass of warm water with lemon juice (approx. half lemon) and a tablespoon of honey. I also add some ginger in it. Vitamin C found in lemons may help in reducing skin wrinkling, dry skin from aging and damage from the sun. It also aids digestion and nourishes hairs. Honey is a natural source of antioxidant and with ginger, it comes out to be an awesome detox drink. It helps in reducing stubborn fat and keeps our stomach healthy.

So, try it as the first thing in the morning and enjoy its benefits.

2. Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)

Apple cider vinegar is the fermented juice of crushed apples. It contains acetic acid and nutrients such as vitamin B and vitamin C. Research showed that it helps in controlling insulin function, so it balances sugar level in our body. ACV can keep our digestion amazing throughout the day. Just take 2 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar in a glass of water and mix it well. You can also add honey if you don’t like its acidic flavor (like me). 

Try not to take it right after the meal or taking it raw without mixing it with water can cause harm to your throat and stomach as well. 

3. Jeera (Cumin seeds) water

Cumin seeds are a good source of antioxidants. It contains vitamin A, C, copper, and manganese. It improves our digestive system, prevents obesity and detoxes our body.

 How to make it useful for weight loss-

Take a tablespoon of cumin seeds in a glass of water and soak it overnight. In the morning, remove the seeds and drink it. I tried this method with cinnamon powder. In the morning, you just need to add some cinnamon powder in cumin water and boil it for 5 minutes. Let it cool down and then drink it. Cinnamon helps in losing weight as it has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

4. Green Tea

Last but not least is green tea. Green tea is extremely good for detoxification because of its rich source of antioxidants which counter free radicle’s effect on the body. Drinking 2 cups of green tea each day will give you significant results in weight loss. Consume it in moderation and avoid taking  an empty stomach and before sleep.


So, these are some easy and very effective homemade detox drinks that act as a cleanser. I have tried, all of the above methods and my experience is amazing with them. Right now, my favorite one is lemon water with honey.
